And it comes complete with an electrode and 9 volt alkaline battery. It does not include ORP Calibration Solution.

MW500 is supplied complete with a MA921B/1 platinum electrode, 9V battery and instructions.

Notables: Beware!

• The probe tip needs to be wet at all times including during storage. The probe tip has a small cup to hold either the storage solution that comes with the meter or water. It really does not matter if you use the liquid storage solution or water, but the tip of the probe must remain wet. If the probe tip dries out it is damaged and cannot be repaired.
  • For those that travel, we've found keeping the tip in the cup-holder in the car works well.
  • Best practice is to keep the probe tip stored in a container to keep it vertical to hold the liquid. When stored horizontal the water/solution tends to run out and the tip will dry out.
     
• The probe should last a long, long time, but tends to become damaged if the tip is pressed down on a hard surface, so don't do that. It is a sensitive probe tip, but with good care it should last a long time very nicely.
   
• If the probe ever becomes damaged you will need to replace this meter with a new one. You cannot simply replace the probe, only.
