Water Ionizers And How They Work
The Water Ionizer Machine works in two ways to make the alkaline and acidic waters that are both good for your health. Lets take a look at both processes this ionizer performs before the water pours out for your consumption and/or use.
First the ionizer is an advanced filtration system to purify and clean ordinary tap water. The ionizer removes toxins, particles, bacteria, chlorine, heavy metals, parasites, THMs, VOCs and other harmful contaminants and chemicals. It leaves the good minerals that are healthy for our bodies intact.
Secondly, through the process of electrolysis the purified water is then separated into two streams; one is alkaline and ionized drinking water and the other is acidic water.
The water enters the ionization chamber and moves over the plates that carry a small electrical charge. When water passes over the electrically charged plates the soluble materials are magnetically attracted to either to the positive pole or negative pole and are separated into acid ( pH less than 7.0) and alkaline (pH greater than 7.0). During the process most of the harmful minerals and mineral compounds comprising of fluoride flows out with the acidic water and the positive materials comes out with the alkaline water.
You can vary the electrical voltage in the best water ionizer machines, such as a Tyent Ionizers, so that you can fully control the acidic or alkaline output of water up to pH of 10-12 or down to pH of 2-3. Water which is found at the extreme end of the pH 2-3 range can be utilized for cleaning, sterilizing and disinfecting. Many hospitals utilize the commercial line of water ionizers and make good use of not only the pH 10-12 levels for hydrating and super oxygenated drinking waters, but also the disinfecting and sterilization acidic waters that can be gotten with the Turbo settings on many machines.
Very little electricity is consumed when using an ionizer, which aids in cutting down on operation costs and also extending the operation lifetime of the unit.
The ionizer machine will tell you when it's time to change filters. On average the family of four will change filters approximately every 8 - 12 months. Each change of filters will normally run about $100. Each water ionizer will have it's specifications and the good ones should fall in line with these numbers.
The water ionizer does it's job and does it well when you've got the right high quality ionizer machine. Most all decent water ionizer machines come with Lifetime Warranty or Limited Lifetime Warranty (limited means if you dropped it down the stairs or something like that which is beyond the scope of normal operation).
Not all water ionizers are created equal. Beware of ionizers promising to do all these things but are priced below $1295. Look long and hard at these machines before you purchase.
The Water Ionizer Station offers only top-of-the-line water filtration ionizer machines. Currently we stand behind Chanson, Tyent and Jupiter/Ionways Water Ionizers, only.
